Allegro Single-Use Filling Needle
The Allegro™ Single-Use Filling Needle Provides a Ready-To-Use and Cost-Effective Solution for Simplified Filling Machine Operation
The Allegro single-use plastic filling needle consists of a Polyether Ether Ketone (PEEK) shaft reinforced with non-fluid contact stainless steel and a polypropylene hub. The needle comes in six different sizes: 0.8, 1.6, 3.2, 4.0, 5.0 and 6.0 mm with a direct tube connection. For use in a disposable sterile filling system, the needle can be either autoclaved or gamma irradiated.
The Allegro single-use filling needle is ready-to-use (after sterilization, where required) and offers a completely disposable solution for final filling to the Biopharmaceutical industry, that avoids the cost and expenditure of resources associated with filling-needle cleaning verification and validation.
Because it is ready-to-use, the Allegro single-use filling needle means no cleaning verification or validation is needed. There is no risk of cross-contamination. It increases manufacturing up time and decreases turnaround and cleaning time. Particulate and endotoxin claims per USP methods remove the requirement for pre-flushing and drying.
The plastic needle is reinforced by stainless steel. It is autoclavable and gamma irradiatable. The product contact surface is PEEK and polypropylene, ideal for use with stainless steel sensitive biologics. The straightness of the needle allows bottom up high speed filling. Control of wall thickness means there is no drip formation1 and accurate volumetric filling.
Direct tube connection allows for easy integration into filling lines or systems while the O-ring prevents slippage in filling head assembly. This produce is available in a range of diameters to facilitate a large range of filling volumes.
Every needle is laser marked with part number and batch number for easy identification and fully traceable production history.
