Aria FAST and Impro FAST Mobile Water Treatment Units Ideal for Rapid Response or Permanent Installation in Municipal or Industrial Applications

Cortland, New York – June 20, 2016 – Pall Corporation, a world leader in filtration, separation and purification technologies, today unveiled its new portfolio of mobile water products designed to meet customer needs across municipal and industrial markets. Water treatment solutions include the improved AriaTM FAST and the all new ImproTM FAST products, which can be rapidly deployed to ensure the continuity of safe, reliable water production for communities and industries around the world.

"Whether in need of supplemental water capacity or for emergency response, plant managers and city officials alike require reliable water treatment solutions that can be implemented quickly and easily," said Lisa Marchewka, Vice President, Global Strategic Marketing for Pall’s water division. "Aria FAST and Impro FAST units perfectly meet these needs using modular membrane designs combined with intelligent controls."

Aria FAST
Aria FAST modular low-pressure membrane units provide reliable water quality under highly variable conditions. Capable of producing water within four hours of arrival on site, Aria FAST units are perfectly suited for emergency situations in both municipal and industrial water applications. Aria FAST mobile systems use robust membrane technology to transform discharge water, ground water, surface water or secondary effluent into water that is free from suspended solids and harmful bacteria.

While ideally suited for pre-planned maintenance shutdowns or emergencies, Aria FAST systems can also be implemented as permanent solutions. Modular assets are available for purchase or long-term lease to deliver high quality membrane filtration without the expense of costly civil works.

“Pall's membrane systems were instrumental in meeting Monmouth County's massive demand for water in the summer months," said Jordan Spitzer, Production Supervisor at New Jersey American Water. "The Aria FAST units were a huge help, especially in July when capacity needs are nearly triple that of the winter months, and provided us with an extra four million gallons of water per day.”

Aria FAST mobile water units can treat up to 1 million gallons per day (MGD) or 4 mega liters per day (MLD) of impaired water. Multiple units can be easily combined to increase output and controlled by a master control panel. Aria FAST units are designed as pretreatment for Impro FAST systems, an intelligent maximum performance reverse osmosis technology.

Impro FAST
Pall’s Impro FAST mobile water treatment solutions use Closed Circuit Desalination (CCD™) reverse osmosis technology from Desalitech. Reliable and easy to operate, Impro FAST products have the flexibility to treat a broad range of incoming feeds for diverse applications from boiler or cooling tower makeup to brackish water desalination to municipal wastewater reuse. Operating at maximum recovery rates, these units can reduce waste by 50-75% and energy by as much as 30% while avoiding membrane fouling and scaling, even in challenging feed waters. Impro FAST mobile water units can deliver up to 700 gallons per minute (gpm) or 160 cubic meters per hour (m3/hr) of high purity permeate. Additionally, this intelligent membrane platform automatically monitors and controls system performance to ensure optimal operation with minimal downtime.

Both mobile treatment solutions in Pall’s portfolio will be on display at the American Water Works Association's (AWWA) Annual Conference & Exposition (ACE 2016) in Chicago from June 20 through June 23, 2016. To learn more about Pall’s water solutions, please visit booth #709.
